Michael spent many of his younger years both living in and making tipis in Wales and Spain and ChaNan spent her youth training at the top end of the hospitality industry in London. This experience, combined with our passion for the environment, gives an uncompromising line of quality of which we are proud.

We are supported by a fantastic team of cleaners, healers, meditators and friends, all of whom are committed to the principles of minimum impact and a sustainable way of life. Together we love our business and the wonderful land the Eco Retreats site occupies. We aim to ensure you have a wonderful stay in the knowledge that we are doing our best to keep our impact on the environment to a minimum.

At Eco Retreats we offer you the opportunity to really escape from the hurly-burly of modern life and enjoy the beauty of nature in comfortable surroundings. Wherever possible we use products in tune with the environment, from our locally made tipis to the organic fair trade produce in the welcome hampers.

We were winners of the Real Alternative Section in the National Tourism Awards 2007 (the only year there was a specific section for alternative enterprises!) and we have been awarded the Gold Standard from the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
