Here at Eco Retreats we are passionate about the environment and our levels of integrity within it. We are working in close proximity to the natural environment around us so we have to be especially careful here at the site.

All cleaning products, washing up liquid, hand soap and shampoo adhere to strict biodegradable and ecological criteria and all food products we provide for you are certified organic and fair-trade. We try to use products, companies and shops local to us or made in the UK.

We research into all the products we use, using the Ethiscore rating (www.ethiscore.org) to determine how ethically sound they really are. This happens in the office, at the site and in our home.

When considering our furnishings we will always try and recycle furniture. When we need to replace our soft furnishings, we do so with the highest standards in mind - we are phasing in organic fair trade unbleached cotton sheets and towels, fair trade rugs and cushion covers with feather cushion pads (either that, or we have fun making the cushion covers) and organic sheepskins.

We really consider where we spend our money and contribute to Water Aid, Coed Heddwch (Trees of Peace) and other charities.
